Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 15 at 6:26AM EST until November 16 at 12:00AM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in lowlying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, ArlingtonCounty, and the City of Alexandria.* WHEN...Until midnight EST tonight, especially around the timeof high tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions ofthe seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Roadand near the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach thecurb near the intersection of King Street and Strand Street inAlexandria..* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 6:59 AMand 7:14 PM. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 7:17 AM and7:32 PM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
